The Ultimate Guide to Discount Boston Theatre Tickets

discount boston theatre tickets

I moved to Boston on Sunday. It only took an 8-hour long drive, 14 boxes, 4 bags, 3 suitcases, and a couple episodes of my favorite podcasts, but I made it! I’ve been planning this move for nearly a year now, so it feels surreal that I’m actually here–and I can’t wait to dive headfirst into the Boston theatre scene! Naturally, one of the first things I researched was discount Boston theatre tickets.

I believe in wholly supporting the arts—they’ve be too instrumental in my life for me to do anything but. However, as a full-time student, my wallet doesn’t always agree. And maybe yours doesn’t either. But lucky for us, theatre companies are generous and understanding, offering some pretty sweet ticketing discounts to students, young adults, and anyone willing to wait until the last minute to score seats.

While I have yet to actually see a show in Boston, I’m rushing tickets to the national tour of Something Rotten! tomorrow night with my longtime friend Amy and my new roommate Elly, and I couldn’t be more excited. Since I’m majorly Type-A and love planning ahead, I’ve already scoured out the best discount Boston theatre ticket offers for my future reference, and decided to pass ’em along to you as well! Take a look, and go see some amazing (and affordable) theatre!
